Karen Keenan Gifts and Home
is located in a lovingly restored
165 year old house on Main St.,
Lee, MA in the heart of the
Berkshires. Karen Keenan, the
former manager, purchased the
twelve year old business from her
sister-in-law Pamela Loring in
April 2006, and continues the
tradition of fine gifts and
complimentary beautiful gift
wrapping.
The Gift Store began at anotherlocation on Main St. in 1994. As the business grew, more space was needed to accommodate the merchandise.
In the summer of 1998, Pam and Jim Loring purchased a house not far from their present location. Then began and intense five month restoration project taken on by Jim and Pam's brother Jeff Keenan, a master carpenter. By February, the house was brought back to its former beauty with subtle changes made to accommodate a shop.
With the renovations complete, the shop opened at the new location on February 25, 1999. Immediately, more people were drawn to the bright yellow house with green shutters. Word quickly spread that this was a destination for a day out with girlfriends, moms, or sisters for shopping. Upon entering, shoppers are struck by all that enlivens their senses; the lovely scents from seasonal candles and potpourri, the soothing background music, the beautiful display of merchandise and welcoming, happy atmosphere created by the friendly staff. You can find a gift here for anyone on your list whether it be a birthday, new home, anniversary, baby or wedding and recipients are excited to receive one of our beautifully wrapped gifts.
We carry well known brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Vera Bradley, The Thymes, Byers Choice, Camille Beckman, Pimpernel, Willow Tree, Russ Berrie, Ty, Gund, Bunnies by the Bay as well as other gift selections that are sure to please.
